No surprise to see him dropping back to 1200m as both times he has tried 1400m he has been weak at the end. Had made a decisive winning 2024 return over this trip at Pontefract.

Dapper Valley

An impressive debut winner and, though he didn’t live up to high expectations later in 2023, his close third of 17 over this course and distance last month was very encouraging.

Shagraan

Easily his best effort so far came on his 2024 return – for a different stable – when slightly unlucky not to win a well-contested Sandown sprint on 26 April.

Moswaat

Showed plenty of promise in all three 2yo starts, including a victory over this trip at Yarmouth and third in a Listed event at Doncaster.

Two Tribes

Gelded since last seen on 22 September 2023. A consistent and progressive horse last season that included a Sandown handicap sprint win, and narrow defeats on his last two 2023 starts.

Eye Of Dubai

A close second on both starts last year and gelded prior to his 2024 return when he was an impressive winner at Catterick before scoring over 1400m here only to lose that race for interference. Chances again.

We Never Stop

Winner of one in five starts – at this trip – in last season though he didn’t progress in two subsequent 2023 starts, albeit in stronger company. Handicap debut on this first 2024 start.

Completely Random

Three starts last year, latterly when easily outclassing his rivals in a novices’ event at Wolverhampton. Speedily bred, having his first turf and handicap start. Stable in good form.

South Shore

Struggled on heavy ground on his 2024 return but his best run so far and his first career win came over 1211m at Windsor last month. This, however, is a stronger contest.

Trefor

Having been gelded, he looked much improved from last year when only finding one of his rivals too strong over this course and distance last month. Potentially nicely handicapped.

World Of Darcy

Winner of two of his nine starts during a busy 2yo career. Needs to improve significantly on anything he has achieved in four all-weather starts this year.
