The Licensing Committee has previously resolved to grant a Freelance Jockey’s licence for the remainder of the 2023/2024 racing season to Angus Y L Chung to take effect on the day following the racemeeting at which he rides his 70th race winner in Hong Kong.

As Jockey Chung rode his 70th winner in Hong Kong at the Happy Valley racemeeting held on Wednesday, 1 May 2024, he will ride as a Freelance Jockey at the Sha Tin racemeeting scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, 5 May 2024.

Accordingly, his weight allowance will automatically reduce from 5 lbs to 3 lbs with effect from Sunday, 5 May 2024.
