World-class gallopers converge for FWD Champions Day at Sha Tin

2024 FWD Champions Day (Photo 1) is set to deliver a racing extravaganza at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday (28 April). A remarkable HK$72 million is spread across three elite Group 1 contests carded as Race 5, Race 7 and Race 8.

Spearheaded by various Group 1 winners from Hong Kong, Japan and Great Britain, esteemed trainers and jockeys are eager to etch their names on the honour roll.

Admission to Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses commences at 10.45am with the first race scheduled for 12.45pm. The spring highlight features the HK$22 million G1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize (1200m) at 2.50pm, HK$22 million G1 FWD Champions Mile (1600m) at 4pm and HK$28 million G1 FWD QEII Cup (2000m) at 4.40pm.

In addition to enjoying the world-class racing action, FWD Champions Day offers a range of vibrant activities to make for a day of fun at Sha Tin or Happy Valley.

Hins Cheung lights up the stage with his hits
Star singer Hins Cheung (Photo 2) performs in the Parade Ring* at 11.45am. He will also join the trophy presentation of the FWD Champions Mile (Race 7) and FWD QEII Cup (Race 8), to witness the emergence of new champions.

Live music entertainment
Local band Pandora (Photo 3) will perform between races underneath Mezza One at Public Enclosure, 1/F, Grandstand II, Sha Tin Racecourse

Champion Quiz
A Golden Opportunity awaits! After Race 8, join the Champion Quiz at Sha Tin to win a stable visit to meet Golden Sixty in person.

Tourists Privilege 
Visitors to Hong Kong, upon showing a valid travel document, can enter the Public Enclosure (excluding fee-charging venues) at Sha Tin and receive exclusive privileges, including Sha Tin Racecourse Catering and Shopping Discount Coupon.
