DUBAI HONOUR (GB)
Last year’s third, cantered one lap on the all weather track.

“He’s settled in really good, this morning’s not been easy with the weather but I’m very happy with him. He’s great – a seasoned professional,” said Issy Paul, track rider and assistant to trainer William Haggas.

PROGNOSIS (JPN)

The assistant trainer Yasunari Kiyoyama said: “Having some weather incidents, I am pleased that he has done what I wanted him to do today.”

HISHI IGUAZU (JPN)

FWD Champions Mile

CHAMPAGNE COLOR (JPN)

The assistant trainer Norihisa Hamanoya said: “He handles well with the change of surroundings and keeps good form.”

ELTON BAROWS (JPN)
Warmed up in the trotting ring alongside the quarantine stable to prepare for tomorrow’s gallop.

“He worked on the turf to grab the feel of the surface yesterday and because of this weather, we decided to keep him in the trotting ring today,” stable representative Yuta Sato said.

OBAMBURUMAI (JPN)
Had an easy canter on the turf course.

“I have no worries with how he moves and breathes during the work,” said the assistant trainer Kazuhiro Yamada.

Chairman’s Sprint Prize

MAD COOL (JPN)
Hacked around a lap on the all weather track under the work rider of Northern Farm, Kimiyuki Shibata.

Shibata said: “He moved nicely today and I am very pleased with his condition physically and mentally.  He is a type of horse who can adjust himself mentally when he works and when he spends his time off at the barn. Tomorrow he will have a fast piece of work over the turf with jockey Atsuya Nishimura on board.”

SUNRISE RONALDO (JPN)
Cantered easily for one lap on the all weather track.

“He’s getting familiar with the new environment and I am happy how he has settled in because he can become tense before the races, so we will work steadily tomorrow morning,” the assistant trainer Keiichiro Yasuda said.
