The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting a total of 12 races from the Australian Cup Day, Tancred Stakes Day and Dubai World Cup Day on Saturday, 30 March.

Australian Cup Day from Flemington, Melbourne (2 races – First race 12.40 Hong Kong time)

The Australian Cup has a long and proud history dates back to 1863. It is one of Victoria’s most famous 2000m Group One contests and also a thrilling finale to the Autumn Racing Carnival of Melbourne.  

Tancred Stakes Day from Rosehill, Sydney (2 races – First race 13.35 Hong Kong time)

The Tancred Stakes is Australia’s only weight-for-age 2400m Group One race open to three-year-olds and older. The winner is exempt from ballot for the prestigious G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) as well as the G1 Sydney Cup (3200m) to be held during The Championships next month.

Dubai World Cup Day from Meydan, Dubai (8 races – First race 20.05 Hong Kong time)

The Dubai World Cup meeting, now in its 28th edition, is one of the most anticipated sporting events with a huge global following. A host of top names from around the globe is set to contend for the US$30.5 million of prizemoney on offer.

Four Hong Kong-trained runners have touched down in the desert metropolis ahead of their big race assignment. California Spangle and Sight Success will bid for glory in the G1 Al Quoz Sprint while Voyage Bubble and Straight Arron will feature in the G1 Dubai Turf against strong international opposition.

Osaka Hai from Hanshin

During the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 31 March, the Osaka Hai will be simulcast live for betting from Hanshin Racecourse.

The Osaka Hai (G1 2000m for 4yo and upwards) attained its Grade 1 status in 2017 and has served as an important lead up for Japan’s most prestigious staying race – the Tenno Sho (Spring). Some of the leading contenders this year have also been nominated for the FWD QEII Cup to be held at Sha Tin on 28 April.
