The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting the Otaki-Maori WFA Classic, four races of Blue Diamond Stakes Day and seven races from the Saudi Cup Day on Saturday, 24 February.
Otaki-Maori WFA Classic from New Zealand (12.15 Hong Kong time)
The Otaki-Maori WFA Classic is a G1 race over 1600M running at Otaki racecourse, north of New Zealand’s capital city Wellington. It has been awarded G1 status since 1992.
Blue Diamond Stakes Day from Australia (4 races – First race 12.40 Hong Kong time)
The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting four races from the Blue Diamond Stakes Day at Caulfield racecourse in Melbourne.
A field of leading two-year-old will contest the feature event – the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes over 1200M at set weights. Carrying a total of A$2 million in stakes money, the Blue Diamond Stakes is Victoria’s richest and most prestigious race for two-year-old.
Saudi Cup Day from Saudi Arabia (7 races – First race 21.20 Hong Kong time)
The Saudi Cup Day was first launched in 2020 to mark a new beginning of the horseracing sport in the Kingdom. The core race G1 Saudi Cup (1800m dirt) carries a staggering purse of US$20 million making it the richest race ever held. In the space of just a few years, the meeting has become a flagship sporting event with massive viewership worldwide.  
The 2024 Saudi Cup Day has attracted an impressive list of entries with high profile challengers from USA, Japan, Europe and UAE, etc. setting sights not just on the Saudi Cup but other valuable races such as the Saudi Derby, Riyadh Dirt Sprint and the US$2.5 million Red Sea Turf Handicap.
