1800m – Turf

Al Rassoul

Unplaced in last two starts but finished in the first two in her four prior runs. Suited by today’s distance.

Bech River

One of the most consistent performers in the field, and the most in-form with two wins and two runner-up spots from his last four outings. One of the two wins came over this course and distance. One for the shortlist.

Black Morning

Not beaten far when fourth over this same 1800m in June. Has won a minor contest over 2100m this term but she seems to have on and off days.

Black Panther

Looking to strike again after lifting a similar grade handicap last time out over 200m shorter than this trip. Acts well on decent going.

Diwan Senora

Yet to hit the mark from seven attempts this season. Scored twice over this 1800m last year. Entered the race at the supplementary stage.

First Birst

Won on her debut back in 2021 but failed to replicate that, not for the want of trying. Not disgraced when sixth over 1900m on most recent appearance against similar opposition.

Georginela

Campaigned in a multitude of France’s provincial tracks this is the first time she has made a trip to French flat racing’s headquarters in 75 races. Best form this year has come over shorter distances.

Joyce Galeste

This four-year-old filly has been kept busy. Suited by today’s distance as she showed by landing her win over it in July. Two third places over shorter since.

La Wood

A winner at Longchamp on his third last outing over 2200m, and placed next time out. Drops back in distance. Supplemented on Thursday.

Life’s A Breeze

Rewarded for a number of battling efforts with a 2100m handicap win in July on very heavy ground, following up with a three length second over today’s distance. Ground possibly not to his liking on latest start when well beaten.

My Flinders

A minor placed finish at Deauville on the all-weather is her best showing this season when she has done most of her racing over 1500m/1600m.

Oncle Fernand

A dozen starts in 2023 for this veteran nine-year-old who may find some of his younger rivals too hot to handle as he tries to make it lucky 13.

Tarahumara Queen

The year began well when she landed a 16-runner handicap on Deauville’s all-weather but she has found life tougher since, trailing in a distant last on most recent run.

Tremont

Fifth in very soft going on his last visit to Longchamp. That was over 1400m and he is more at home over longer so today’s distance should be ideal.

Zwialh

Won twice at a lower grade last year. Last seen failing to make much of an impression over 1600m at Longchamp in May.
