G2 – 2410m – Turf

1

Away He Goes

Has failed to score in his last 14 starts, though he has encountered top company. Two good Meydan efforts – over 2810m – on his last two starts but not an obvious winner.

2

Daramethos

Came from the back to win over shorter than this and on dirt – a career best run – at Jebel Ali on his penultimate start. Respectable G3 turf fourth here last month. Up in distance.

3

Fastnet Crown

A bargain considering he was a very cheap purchase. Completely unproven at this trip, doing best of his three Meydan runs this year when fourth in a 1400m handicap, looking to need further then.

4

Global Heat

Wants a strong pace as he is ideally suited by a bit further than this as he showed when winning a Listed event in January.

5

Global Storm

Didn’t have a perfect trip when third in this last year. This time he returns to Meydan without a prep run which he had in 2022, but some decent efforts in strong company back in the UK last year.

6

Kemari

Couldn’t find any extra in the closing stages when fourth in a recent Meydan G3 but may have needed that after a 153-day absence. Some of his best form gives him a chance.

7

Lost Eden

Has only twice competed on a turf surface previously though his pedigree would suggest it should be fine. Also up in trip, having won over 1800m at Jebel Ali in December.

8

Rakeez

Since leaving France, he has won three times in the UAE, but those victories have all come over shorter than this and on a dirt surface.

9

Rebel’s Romance

Withdrawn

10

Senor Toba

A gallant seventh behind Russian Emperor in Doha last month. Previously he had galloped on strongly to win an 1800m G3 handicap at Sha Tin and he also has proven winning form for this longer trip.

11

Tides Of War

Winning form on a slow turf surface when trained by French champion Andre Fabre. But hasn’t shown much in two Meydan starts this year.

12

Green Team

Well beaten on all three starts at Meydan this year. Very hard to suggest that he has any chance here.

13

New Comedy

Best UAE run this year came in a handicap over this course and distance, when a close second though getting lots of weight from the winner. Not so good last time.

14

White Wolf

There must have been excuses for a dismal run last time, but his fast finish had only just failed to land him a 2000m handicap here previously. Up in trip which is not sure to help.

15

Annerville

Only one career win from 12 starts, but did hint that there may be better to come at Meydan when fifth in a G3 last month. An unlikely winner, though.
