Listed – 1993m – Turf

Leshlaa Difficult task under penalty. Not run since spell in Dubai earlier this year when second in G3 but well beaten in G1s. Needs to return at his best.
Monarchs Glen Not run since excusable failure in G1 in Dubai in March. Won G3 over 1800m last year and trainer John Gosden going for fourth win in race. A clear chance.
Fabricate Been a good servant to the Queen and six-year-old should run well but younger opponents may improve past him.
Mirage Dancer Improving four-year-old stays further and won Listed race over around 2400m last month. May progress again.
Autocratic Modest strike rate of 3 from 15 but won G3 last year and runner-up twice in Listed races this year, all over around 2000m. Fair chance but vulnerable to an improver.
Big Country Prominent racer who improved after joined Mick Appleby from Ireland and has proved worth in big handicaps. Led all way to win Zetland Gold Cup over 2001m on fast ground last month. A fighting chance.
Euginio Creditable placed runs in G3 and Listed company but well beaten by Mirage Dancer latest.
Kidmenever Godolphin globetrotter was third in this race last year. Yet to win in Britain. Solid but others more scope for improvement.
Laraaib On return this year, this lightly raced four-year-old finished excellent second to high class Poet’s Word in G3 over 1990m. Excellent chance and should improve.
Morando Placed twice in G3 company last year and was third in another in April with Fabricate in second. Had an obstructed run and did well get so close. Interesting.
Muntahaa Done almost all racing over longer trips and won G3 last year over around 2400m. Returned from absence with fair run over around 2700m. Interesting if copes with trip.
Scarlet Dragon Sixth in this race last year when stayed on late. Usually races over further. Been hurdling. An unlikely winner.
Sharja Bridge Has only got a maiden race success on his score sheet but progressive and ran well to be second in hot handicap on reappearance this year over 1800m. Good chance.
Spark Plug A commendable record and in decent form but this 28 race seven-year-old will need career best. Unlikely.
Yucatan Capable of high class form but has only won once, a maiden two-year-old race in 2016 and is difficult to predict.
Chain Of Daisies This is the six-year-old mare’s trip and going and has won a G3 and three Listed races but disappointed on sole run this year and a hard task.
