1200m – Turf

1 Anonymous 22 starts for four wins, all on the Polytrack. However, he has been placed second and third over the course and distance. Last won six starts back on 16 June over the Poly 1200m. Came from behind to finish 1.6L fourth over Poly 1100m last start. Tends to pick his way up gradually.
2 Chalaza Nine starts for three wins, including over the course and distance. Won from the front second-up. Yet to run a bad race. Resumed from a four-month break on 30 July to score come-from-behind victory over Polytrack 1000m. Finshed on board subsequent four starts. Last time out on 15 Oct, he came from behind to finish fourth over 1400m.
3 Magic City Promising type with three wins, once over the course and distance, and two seconds from six starts. Rested since Open Benchmark 67 race over 1400m on 6 Aug. Battle Of Troy, the horse he beat, has franked the form by winning on 1 Oct. Magic City likes to lead; won twice this way.
4 Mr Crowe 19 starts for five wins, all over 1400m. Had run only twice over the course and distance but both times unplaced. Stablemate of Magic City. Last win three starts back on 9 July. Had some support last start over 1400m but could only finish 7.2L 9th. Races midfield early.
5 Brahma Circus 35 starts for six wins, once over the course and distance, six seconds and eight thirds. His form tapered off somewhat after his last success on 20 Jan over the Polytrack 1200m. His best from six subsequent outings were three fourths. Last start 15 Oct he finished a 1.8L fifth over 1400m. He raced forward in his early career but now hovers around midfield or behind.
6 Oxbow Sun 12 starts for two wins, Poly 1200m and 1400m turf. Came in for strong support two starts back on 8 Oct and led all the way after crossing in from wide barrier over the Poly 1200m in Class 4. Last start on 20 Oct, he raced fifth throughout over the Poly 1100m in Class 3.
7 Draco 10 starts for three wins, all over the course and distance. Unplaced in the first two legs of the Singapore Three-Year-Old Challenge Series over 1200m and 1400m, and was rested after the second leg. Resumed with a sixth placing on 25 Aug and stepped up on that run to score a come-from-behind success on 15 Sep. Nearly completed a double last start when 0.2L second over Poly 1200m. No pace and left his run too late.
8 Classified 13 starts for three wins, all over 1600m on Poly and turf. Scored a double in February and March over 1600m on turf. Rested after dismal run on 1 May. Resumed last start on 9 July fresh and finished a 0.6L third over Sunday’s course and distance. Rested again. Races handy early.
9 Webster Promising after his back-to-back wins following debut second. Both wins over the course and distance. The manner in which he won was very impressive, indeed. Was rested after his 30 June victory and was scratched once before resuming on 29 Sep as the favourite. He led but faded in the straight to finish a 4.3L ninth of 11 runners. Cannot rule him out completely.
10 Dan The Man No show in all four starts at long odds. Last time out on 29 Oct, he raced at the rear and finished a 6.5L seventh over the Poly 1000m. Raced forward in two of his three other runs but faded away.
11 Gran Torino Nice type with two wins, once over the course and distance, and a second from as many starts. Made dream debut in Singapore on 20 Aug in Maiden company over the Poly 1100m. After a runner-up finish second-up in Class 4, he scored a convincing victory over 1200m. He sits on the pace and powers home in the straight.
12 Goodfellas 14 starts for three wins over 1200m and 1400m, all in Malaysia. Two of his victories were on yielding going. Had his last race in Malaysia on 4 Feb, then relocated to Singapore where he has had four starts but finished down the track on all four occasions.
