HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will simulcast the Epsom Handicap Day from Royal Randwick Racecourse, Australia, on Saturday, 30 September. On Sunday, 1 October, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast the Sprinters Stakes from Nakayama Racecourse, Japan during Sha Tin race meeting, and four races of Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe races from Chantilly Racecourse, France on the same evening. Bets will be accepted* for these overseas races. Winning Region (Composite Win) will also be offered for Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and Prix de l’Opera.

Tickets sales for Epsom Handicap Day will be available from 12:00 noon on 29 September (Friday). The tickets sales for Sprinters Stakes and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe races will be available from 12:00 noon on 30 September (Saturday), and the Winning Region composites will be defined at 12:00 pm on the same day.

Race times and betting pools

The first race of the Epsom Handicap Day will start at 12:05 pm on Saturday (30 September). These overseas races will be scheduled as S1-1 to S1-6. The Sprinters Stakes, scheduled as S2-1, is due to start at 2:40 pm Hong Kong time when ten local races (Races 1 to 10) will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on the same afternoon. Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe races which start at 10:05 pm are scheduled as S2-2 to S2-5. Details of the post time and betting pools are:

Broadcast arrangements

Simulcast races will be broadcast on TV and radio, as well as at Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) and racecourses.  Customers can also review the overseas races at www.hkjcracing.com one hour after the running of the race. 

‘S1’ or ‘S2’ must be indicated for overseas race bets

Customers betting with cash or through Interactive Services** on overseas races should mark the “S1 box” or “S2 box” and race number of the overseas race on the ticket or as required by the Interactive Services interfaces.  Those placing bets via Telebet should clearly indicate the overseas race and race number to the operators. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input ‘overseas race’ and the race number respectively.

If “S1”, “S2” or “Overseas race” is not indicated as required, any bets placed will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.

The odds and starter information for overseas races will be available at all OCBBs, via Interactive Services, and on the Odds and Information Hotline 1835888.

Ticket sales arrangement for the overseas races

Ticket sales for the Epsom Handicap Day will be available from 12:00 noon on 29 September (Friday). And the tickets sales for Sprinters Stakes and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe races will be available from 12:00 noon on 30 September (Saturday). Selling hours# for these overseas race are:
